      This is the PC games market being killed by the death of a thousand cuts. When all the benefits of PC gaming has been got rid of, why would any new PC gamers come along and why would current PC gamers stay?

      As it stands, I bet at any one time 1/3rd of all PC games being played are over 3 years old. Whatever the percentage is, I would bet a million dollars it was going up not down!
