Borderlands get rewarded for its cahones.

Borderlands has past the 2,000,000 sales milestone, despite being a shooter released alongside Modern Warfare 2. That's just reward for coming up with an interesting game, executed with panache.

Considering the game was unimpressive up to a year before it's release, and they junked the realistic graphics for a stylised cel-shader look, this is a great example from the devs, marketing and management (and how often do all three get it right?). Gearbox Software should be proud of themselves.

Borderlands is much better than Modern Warfare 2, which had problems with strawberry jam.

Well Borderlands on ps3 is ok, it gets a bit boring though, you know repetitive, but thats only because i hate the loading between hubs, and those bloody skags are a nuisance.

But i agree (for once) with Jez, They at least tried something different instead of launching an inferior product.

I'd better install it and find out if you're right. If I can drag myself away from Dragon Age, that is.

I've been waiting to play it until I can get online, and play it with others.

P.S. Welcome back. :)

Can't agree, Willo. Dragon Age presents an acceptable compromise on console, but it isn't "very good" set alongside the senior format. The ergonomics of the game are far better served by mouse and keyboard, while there's something about the genre that calls for the intimacy of a crouched-over monitor rather than the distance of a sofa.

So, I've installed Borderlands and after grinding my way through a bug hunt for a couple of hours I can't say I'm overly impressed so far. Hopefully it will widen out soon and I'll like it as much as you folks.

Yes of course it's better on pc, the graphics are really awful tbh, im talking trees that looked better on ps1, but apart from that its very good.

Oh and Borderlands is like that the whole game, lol.

Boderlands picks up once you've reached about lvl 15 and then move beyond the initial starting hub. I found it made a nice complement to DA:O until STO came along to steal my time. I love the look of Borderlands, so much more interesting than the usual realistic-but-not-really graphics.

Thanks for reminding me, mate. I must admit I haven't touched it since my last post on the subject, so I think I'll give it another chance tonight.

Mind you, it's rather disturbing that the bloke at the farm looks like a native of Dudley, if the shape of his head is anything to go by.

My MMO Guild are about to start up a co-op... I'm quite looking forward to it.
