I've just realised that 2020 isn't actually that far away, and will probably not be a post-apocalyptic dystopian wilderness where men are built like Arnie, and the women wear fur bikinis.

Deus Ex 3, Hitman 5, Thief 4, XCOM. Where are they? 2011 if I'm lucky, that's where. (Scratch XCOM. It looks rubbish. Add Dragon Age 2 instead).

I look at my "Any chance you could do an article on..." feedback threads as a way of letting them know what I would find interesting. And they are great at listening. The first one I may have influenced was the 24" LCD monitor group test. I wanted one, asked for it, and they did one (not sure if it was just fortuitous timing or not). Either way, I'm sure they like to hear what people want (well, one person). :)

At least I'm not saying "GIV UZ ARTICULS ON MI FAVRITE GAME BARBARIAN SLAYER2020 OMG WIY U NOT DO ONE U GUYZ ARE TEH SUXXORS I NEVVER BUY UR MAG AGANE!!!!!1!!!"

I think that's how the kids (or whatever they style themselves as, nowadays) talk (ahem).

Very true........Biggles any old pc games you have knocking round those plush offices...............Please.?

Many PC games can be lightly modded using little more than Notepad to edit the files, although you often have to unpack the files first.

Despite Rome: Total War having very little in the way of official modding support or tools full blow total conversion were possible thanks to third party programmers . Thanks to Vercingetorix's 'PAK Extractor' and 'CAS Importer/exporter for 3ds max' the Rome Total war modding community was able to produce so a wide range of mods and total conversions. Changing something small such as a unit states was simply a case of opening the right file in notepad and changing numbers.

I really liked the game Hitman: Blood Money, and it's more of a puzzle game than a lot of people realise. You're not supposed to go in guns blazing, and kill everyone. I would like to see more levels while the wait for the next Hitman stretches out into eternity.

I'm also interested in AI, so I would love to program a game like that. I've bought Maximum Crysis, so when I finally get online, I can install and register it, and start to mod it. It should be a laugh. :geeksmiley:

And for those who want lots of free content, here is the main mod site on the web:

http://www.moddb.com/

If you have any of the original games, you'll have all the DLC you could ever want. 8)
