GTFO Jackass
Now here’s a good idea: a dedicated website that allows players to freely blacklist World Of Warcraft ninjas, spammers and trolls.
Now here’s a good idea: a dedicated website that allows players to freely blacklist World Of Warcraft ninjas, spammers and trolls. It’s called wowjackass.com and was created by an enthusiastic U.S. player called Sam Morris who simply had enough of people that were spoiling the game for him and decided to do something about it.
Apparently wowjackass.com provides “a healthy outlet for frustrated players” and though these things are subject to abuse, new submissions are reviewed and a voting system is in place for verification. It’s an idea we’ve been toying with for some time now (see the Guild Master section of issue 21 in Total PC Gaming magazine) and though we’d rather see the system implemented in-game, we’re pleased that someone has finally set an example for other MMOs.
Once wowjackass.com has been properly populated (current submissions stand at 700 Jackasses) it will be an excellent resource for recruiting guilds and groups seeking individual players. “There are some bad apples in the massive online community,” Sam says, “Now the decent people have the upper hand.”
Someone should have done this ages ago – if an MMO dev doesn’t snap this idea up themselves, we’d be very surprised.

I use this site, and an avid follower of it. Hats off for making it more popular!
