Everyone knew it was coming, but a Ubisoft scriptwriter has let slip the fact that Far Cry 3 is in development.
Everyone knew it was coming, but a Ubisoft scriptwriter has let slip the fact that Far Cry 3 is in development. In an interview with Official Playstation magazine Kevin Shortt denied working on the new title himself, but then added, “the team are and what I’ve seen looks pretty exciting.”
Far Cry 3 will likely feature an upgraded version of the Dunia Engine used in Far Cry 2 (a heavily modified CryEngine 2, licensed from Crytek) and it has been suggested that it will be set in Africa or even Antartica.

And let’s hope that the gameplay gets upgraded as well, the last one was very bad, back and forth, oh look the same guys at the checkpoint I just killed 30 seconds ago, yay! Oh no, I am getting dizzy from malaria and need pills, ugh. Where were the underground bunkers, the moutain hideouts? Far cry 2 stunk. I didnt even finish the game, un-install and wished for my money back.
It was a “farcry” from the original.
Hopefully this will not be like it’s predecessor, and have a first few hours that are so boring that I give up and never play it again.
